Meet Our Girl Scholar: Milsa Ajpuz!
Meet Milsa, a 10th grader in Guatemala! Milsa is 17-years-old and lives at home with her mom, dad, and her three siblings in a small lakeside village called Santa Catarina. Milsa’s father is a day laborer and Milsa helps support her family by selling traditional textiles that she weaves with her mother. Milsa is the first person in her family to attend school and she is a very hardworking student. After graduating from high school, she hopes to pursue a career in the tourism industry.
